LARP HOUSE PRESENTS: I SAY A LITTLE PRAYER
Five gay men live together in a shared apartment in New York City. We follow this group of friends over a couple of years in the early 1980s when the AIDS epidemic hit gay communities hard. These men will be personally affected by the AIDS crisis over the course of play.
This larp was written to be a bite-size version of Just A Little Lovin’ a 6-day long larp about friendship, desire, and the fear of death. Larp House is supporting an independent team of organizers in bringing the acclaimed Nordic larp to Minnesota in summer 2017. I Say A Little Prayer covers many of the same themes and is written by the same author.

If you are interested in playing, fill out our I Say A Little Prayer Sign Ups before 11:59 pm on Saturday, July 23rd. You should know if you are in or out of the larp by Monday, July 25th.
PLAY STYLE:The larp is composed of scenes called by the facilitator and players, which put the spotlight on one of the characters or a relationship between the characters. Halfway through the story one of the characters will die of AIDS. And towards the very end of the story a second character will also die. Every player will have interesting things to do throughout the whole larp.

Kelley’s House in Richfield, MNThe full address will be given to players when they get into the larp. There is nearby public transit from buses 5, 18, and 540.
COSTUMING:
No costumes are required.
ACCESSIBILITY:
The play venue is a private residence, all entrances involve short stairways of 2-4 steps. Plenty of seating available. Climate controlled space. Bathroom is small and not ADA accessible. No food or drink will be served, water available. Background music will be used during scenes.
CONTENT WARNING:
AIDS diagnosis in the 80s, homophobia, romantic relationships beginning and ending, grief, drug use.
