WHAT:A freeform larp for 5-8 players
Written by Jay Treat
Organized by Jon Cole
WHEN:7:00 pm — 11:00 pm on Saturday, March 4th
THEMES:A sci-fi story about people. Science is the lens through which the genre explores relationships, emotions, and moral quandaries, all of which are in abundance on one starship.
REGISTRATION:If you are interested in playing, fill out our Strange Gravity Sign Up before 11:59 pm on Friday, February 17th. You should know if you are in or out of the larp by Monday, February 20th. Registration will be open after the deadline for stragglers, but a place will not be guaranteed.
PLAY STYLE:Improvised,
freeform. This game will challenge your ability to think creatively and
build a story together. The rules come with an extensive improv warm up
to help everyone get limbered up for play.
COSTUMING:No
costumes required. We won’t know whether we will be playing in a sleek
Star Trek universe or a grimy Firefly galaxy until we play. If you’re
super cool, you might bring a scifi prop or accessory to share.
WHERE:A private residence near Linwood Park in Saint Paul.Players will be given details after they sign up.
There is nearby public transit from buses 21, 63, 74, 54.
ACCESSIBILITY:The
play venue is a private apartment, stair access only. It can be chilly
in winter, a sweater is recommended. Plenty of seating available. No
food will be served. A short-haired cat lives in the play venue.
